Welcome to Ofou To Lo, a traditional seaside tavern in the beautiful town of Agios Nikolaos, Crete. Our family-run restaurant combines authentic Cretan hospitality with fresh local ingredients to create a warm and unforgettable dining experience.

Our restaurant was established in April of 1984 under the name of “OFOU TO LO”, an expression that suggests admiration for something beautiful. This expression is found in Anogia of Crete, where our origin comes from.

Located right by the water, our tavern offers stunning views of the sea while you enjoy traditional Greek flavors. Whether you are visiting for breakfast, a relaxed lunch by the beach, or a romantic dinner at sunset, we welcome you like part of the family.

I come with my wife to eat and have some relax. The view and the environment near the sea is spectacular. I like the variance in the menu and the prices. We had a very delicious dinner here with fried courgette (the best I ever had!) and fab main courses like the Greek special plate and seabass carpaccio. We booked the table a few days in advance and noted the wrong time down. However, arriving 30 minutes late we were still seated at a beautiful table in the front row by the sea. Thank you to all the team who were extremely friendly and they’ve created a nice ambiance.

Ofou to lo is a gem of a restaurant. Tucked away in the second bay it’s well worth the gentle stroll to get to. You’re greeted a warm welcome, sublime views and exceptional service. The food is first class, authentic and delicious. The waiters are generous with recommendations, picking out the dorado and anchovies on bruschetta. The food was truly delicious, so good that the house cat didn’t get a look in. What a wonderful experience. We’ll come again.
